On March 24, 2026, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presented the Delhi budget for 2026-27. The total budget was ₹1,03,700 crore. A big part of this budget was for women’s welfare. The Women and Child Development Department got ₹7,406 crore.

Delhi Mahila Samman Yojana Beneficiary List 2026
The beneficiary list is a big document that contains the names of all the women who are selected to get the money this year. If your name is on this list, it means you will definitely receive the scheme benefits.

Many women who have already received their first payment are now waiting for the second one. The government usually releases these payments in batches or installments.

Other Schemes For Women In Delhi Budget 2026
Apart from the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, the Delhi Government announced several other schemes for women in the 2026-27 budget.
DURGA Scheme: Under this, 1,000 women and 100 transgender persons will get e-auto permits. This will help them become self-reliant and earn a living.
Rani Haat Initiative: The government will set up special markets called Rani Haat. Here, women can sell their products and connect directly with buyers.
Free LPG Cylinders: Women from poor families will get two free LPG cylinders during the festivals of Holi and Diwali.
Free Bus Travel: Women and transgender persons will continue to travel for free in DTC buses.
Delhi Lakhpati Betiya Yojana: Under this scheme, ₹61,000 will be deposited in a girl child’s account from birth till graduation. This amount will grow to ₹1.2 lakh over time.
Bicycles for Girls: 1.3 lakh girl students in Class 9 will get free bicycles to help them go to school.
How Many Women Will Benefit?
The Mahila Samriddhi Yojana has a budget of ₹5,110 crore. Since each woman will get ₹2,500 per month, the yearly amount for one woman is ₹30,000. Based on this calculation, the scheme can cover nearly 17 lakh women in Delhi.
Delhi has over 72 lakh women above the age of 18, according to electoral rolls. So not every woman will get the money. Only those who meet the eligibility criteria will benefit.
