Tata Motors has officially confirmed that the Tata Sierra EV will launch in India during the second quarter of the financial year 2026-27, which means it will arrive between July and September 2026. The announcement was made by the company’s top leadership, ending all speculation about the electric SUV’s debut timeline. Bookings for the Sierra EV could open a few weeks before the launch, so interested buyers should keep an eye out for updates from Tata Motors.

Tata Sierra EV Performance

The Tata Sierra EV is built to perform well on both city streets and highways. It comes with two battery sizes, and the larger 65 kWh pack can travel more than 500 kilometres on a single charge. You can choose a Rear-Wheel Drive or an All-Wheel Drive model. The top-end AWD version uses two electric motors together, giving it a strong 504 Nm of pulling power and over 160 bhp for a quick and confident drive.

Battery and Mileage

The Tata Sierra EV will likely give you two battery choices: a 55 kWh pack and a bigger 65 kWh pack. With the larger battery, you can drive more than 500 kilometres on a single full charge. It also supports DC fast charging, which can take the battery from 20 percent to 80 percent in just 30 to 35 minutes.

Interior and Technology

The cabin of the Tata Sierra EV is modern and packed with useful tech. You get a triple-screen setup on the dashboard — one large touchscreen in the centre, a digital driver display, and a separate screen just for the front passenger. It also comes with a big panoramic sunroof, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and vehicle-to-load technology that lets you power small devices directly from the car.
