The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU) has officially opened the registration for UP CNET 2026. UP CNET 2026 Eligibility Rules

Different courses have different rules. Check yours carefully. If you meet the rules for your course, you can apply.

For B.Sc Nursing (4 years):

  • You must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
  • Minimum 45% marks for general category.
  • Your age should be at least 17 years as on December 31, 2026.

For Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (2 years):

  • You must have passed 10+2.
  • You must have GNM (General Nursing Midwifery) certificate.
  • You must be registered with any State Nurses Registration Council.

For M.Sc Nursing or NPCC (2 years):

  • You must have B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with at least 55% marks.
  • You must have 1 year of work experience (clinical or teaching) after basic B.Sc.
  • You must be a registered nurse and midwife.

UP CNET Exam Pattern?

The UP CNET 2026 exam pattern is simple and student-friendly. It is an offline test where you fill answers on an OMR sheet using pen and paper. The paper has 120 multiple-choice questions carrying 120 marks in total, with each correct answer giving you 1 mark and no negative marking for wrong answers. You get 140 minutes (2 hours 20 minutes) to finish the exam.

The questions are divided equally into five sections – Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, and Nursing Aptitude – with 24 questions in each section. The entire paper is available in both English and Hindi languages.
