This year, there is no entrance exam. A merit list will be prepared from your Madhyamik or equivalent exam scores. Based on your rank in this state-wide list and your choice of college and branch, you will be allotted a seat through online counseling.

The entire form fill-up process is online. You can easily apply using your mobile phone or from a local computer shop.

Step 2: Register as a new user with your active mobile number and email ID.

Step 3: Fill in your personal details, home address, and your exact Class 10 marks.

Step 4: Upload a clear passport-size photo and a scanned picture of your signature.

Step 5: Pay the required application fee using online payment methods and submit the final form.

Eligibility Criteria For WB Polytechnic Admission

Nationality & Domicile: Must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of West Bengal.

Educational Qualification: Must have passed Class 10 (Madhyamik) or equivalent from a recognized board.

Minimum Marks: Passed with an aggregate of at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.

Subjects: Must have studied Mathematics and Physical Science as subjects in Class 10.

Age Limit:

• Minimum 15 years of age. Candidates must be born on or before July 1, 2011.
• There is no upper age limit

WB Polytechnic Admission Fees

The application fee is paid online. You can pay using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.

How Many Seats Are Available

Admission to over 180 seats is available across various government polytechnics in the state. Seats are allocated based on the JEXPO merit list and online counseling. Branch-wise seat examples include.

• 60 seats for the Computer Science & Technology program at Women’s Polytechnic, Chandannagar.

• 180 seats across all branches at Baruipur Government Polytechnic.

• 63 seats for the Civil Engineering branch at Arambagh Government Polytechnic.
