Kanyashree Prakalpa is a simple and caring government plan from West Bengal. It helps girls from poor families study without worry and wait till they are 18 before marriage. The government gives money straight to the girl’s bank account if she stays in school and stays unmarried. This scheme has already helped lakhs of girls finish their studies and build a better future.
Kanyashree Prakalpa K1, K2, K3 Form Download
Getting the forms is very easy and does not need any online download in most cases. Your school or college gives you the right form free of cost. The K1 form (yearly help) comes on light green paper. The K2 form (one-time money) comes on light blue paper. If you already got K1 and now want to upgrade to K2 at age 18, the school gives a special pre-printed form.
There is no official PDF link on the main website for direct download because the forms are made for each school. Just go to your principal or teacher and ask for the Kanyashree form. They will give it to you the same day. For K3 in postgraduate studies, there is no paper form – you fill everything online on a different website.
Kanyashree Prakalpa Registration
Registration is quick and happens mostly at school. Take the form from your teacher. Fill it carefully with your name, age, school details, bank account number, and Aadhaar if you have it. Attach simple papers like your birth certificate, school ID card, a photo, and income proof if your family earns less than 1.2 lakh. Your teacher will check everything and upload your details on the government portal. After that, you get a 20-digit unique ID.

Kanyashree Prakalpa Online Apply 2026
For school girls (K1 and K2), the apply process is not fully online yet. You still fill the paper form at school, but the school uploads it online to the official portal. This makes it fast. For the year 2026, start early when the new school session begins. If you are in college doing postgraduate studies and want K3, then yes, full online apply is there.
Go to the Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship website . First register with your old Kanyashree K2 ID to prove you are the same girl. Then fill the online form, upload marksheets and bank details, and submit.
Kanyashree Prakalpa K2 Renewal
K2 is a one-time payment, so there is no yearly renewal like a loan. But if you got K1 every year and now you are 18, you need to “upgrade” to K2. This is called K2 upgradation. Your school will give you a special ready-made form with your details already printed. Just sign it, add your bank info if changed, and submit again. Do not use the normal blue K2 form if you already have K1 – that can create problems. After submission, the money of 25,000 rupees comes in a few months.
Kanyashree Prakalpa Amount
The scheme gives money in different ways so girls can keep studying step by step. For K1, you get 1,000 rupees every year till you turn 18. This small amount helps with books, fees, or travel to school. When you turn 18 and still study, you get K2 – a one-time big gift of 25,000 rupees. This helps a lot for higher studies or other needs. After that, if you join postgraduate college, K3 gives monthly money – 2,000 rupees for arts or commerce and 2,500 rupees for science streams.
Kanyashree Prakalpa Eligibility Criteria
Any girl living in West Bengal can apply if she meets a few easy rules. She must be unmarried. For the yearly help, she should be between 13 and 18 years old and studying in class 8 or higher in a government school or similar place. The family income should be less than 1 lakh 20 thousand rupees in a year. But if the girl has no parents, or she has 40% or more disability, or she lives in a special home for children, then there is no income limit.
| Level | Age | Education | Family Income Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| K1 (Yearly) | 13 to 18 years | Class 8 or higher | ₹1,20,000 or less per year |
| K2 (One-time) | 18 to 19 years | School/college or skill training | ₹1,20,000 or less per year |
| K3 (PG) | After 18 | Postgraduate course | ₹1,20,000 or less per year |
Kanyashree Prakalpa Last Date 2026
There is no single hard last date like in some exams. You can apply for K1 as soon as you turn 13 and join class 8. For K2, apply right after you turn 18. Schools usually take forms from May or June till October or November every year, but it changes a little. In 2026, the best time is right at the start of your school or college session. Do not wait too long because processing takes time. For K3 postgraduate help, the online portal opens around November and stays open for a few months – check the SVMCM website for exact 2026 dates.
