WB Gram Panchayat Form Fill Up 2026: Latest News & Updates

According to a recent interview, the new Panchayat Minister, Shri Dilip Ghosh, has publicly stated that the department is facing a severe shortage of staff. He confirmed that a massive recruitment drive will begin soon to fix this problem and make the Panchayat system stronger.

The goal is to fill over 6,652 vacancies across Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti, and Zilla Parishad levels. A dedicated District Level Selection Committee (DLSC) has already been set up to manage the entire process and ensure it is fair and local.

The application fee will be very affordable. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, the fee may be completely waived (zero). For General, OBC, and EWS candidates, a small fee may apply. The exact fee will be confirmed in the official notification.

Educational Qualification Criteria

You do not need a high-level degree to apply for WB Gram Panchayat Recruitment 2026. There are posts for everyone, from Class 8 pass to graduates.

Class 8 Pass: Eligible for Panchayat Karmee / Group D posts. This is a great chance for those with basic education.

Madhyamik (Class 10) Pass: You can apply for Sahayak and Accountant / Clerk posts. For Sahayak, you need at least 50% marks.

Higher Secondary (Class 12) Pass: If you also have a basic computer certificate, you can apply for the Panchayat Secretary post.

Graduate: If you have a graduation degree and a Diploma in Computer Applications, you are eligible for Executive Assistant.

Engineering Diploma: If you hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering, you can apply for the technical post of Nirman Sahayak.

1. Recent Passport Size Photograph: Scanned copy (colored, white background).

2. Signature: Scanned copy of your signature done with a black pen on white paper.

3. Educational Certificates: Madhyamik admit card, mark sheets, and other certificates (scanned).

4. Caste Certificate (If Applicable): For SC/ST/OBC candidates.

5. Identity Proof: Aadhaar Card or Voter ID.

WB Gram Panchayat Online Form Fill Up 2026

1. Visit the Official Website: Open the website wbprms.in or prd.wb.gov.in.

2. Complete Registration: Click on “New Registration”. Enter your name, mobile number, and email ID. You will receive a registration number and password on your mobile.

3. Fill the Application Form: Log in and carefully fill in your personal details (parents’ name, address), and educational qualifications.

4. Upload Documents: Upload your photo, signature, and other documents in the correct size (usually 20-50 KB). Make sure the photo is clear.

5. Pay the Application Fee: Pay the fee online using a Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

6. Final Submit & Print: Click the “Submit” button. After successful submission, download and print the final application form. Keep it safe for future use.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

Written Examination: This is the main test. It will have questions on English, Bengali, Arithmetic, and General Knowledge (GK).

• English: Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension.
• Bengali: Grammar, Literature, Bengali Culture.
• Arithmetic: Number System, Percentage, Simplification.
• General Knowledge: Indian History, Geography, Polity.

Viva Voce (Interview): Those who clear the written exam will be called for a personal interview.

Skill Test (If Required): For posts like Clerk or Data Entry Operator, a computer typing test or skill test may be conducted.
