WBBSE Madhyamik 2026 Toppers List : On May 8, 2026, the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) announced the Madhyamik (Class 10) exam results. This year, one name is on everyone’s lips, Abhiroop Bhadra, a student from a small town, who secured the top position with a stunning score.
The board shared all the details in a press conference held at 9:30 AM in Kolkata. Students across the state can now check their marks online starting from 10:15 AM.
Who Is Abhiroop Bhadra? The State Topper With 99.71%
Abhiroop Bhadra is a student of Sarada Vidyamandir (Raiganj) High School in Uttar Dinajpur district. He scored 698 marks out of 700. This means he got 99.71%, a near-perfect score.
His achievement is not just about the numbers. It is about consistency and a calm mind. In an interview, Abhiroop said, “I never studied for fixed hours. Every night, I made small targets for the next day. I just tried to complete them.” He also credited his mother, a nurse at Raiganj Hospital, for his success.
His dream is to study engineering at an IIT and later work in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

What After the Madhyamik Result?
With Class 10 results out, it is time for students to plan their next steps. Most will apply for Class 11 admission in the stream of their choice — Science, Commerce, or Arts. The online admission process for the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) will begin soon.
Students who are not satisfied with their scores can apply for re-evaluation. The board will also conduct supplementary exams for those who could not pass. Details about these will be shared on the official website shortly.
